We took a one week trip to Beijing and Xi’an right after Golden Week. It was the family’s first time back into China post-COVID, though virtually all visible signs were gone by this point. At the ports of entry, the Health QR code was required, although testing was not. Across the three cities, we saw China getting back to business, but without the same level of optimism and drive that we saw at the very start of 2020.
